A ridiculous German WW2 design that involved a giant battering ram/dozer blade bolted on a Tiger P chassis.
I chose this subject for two reasons: I had a set of unused Panzerwerk tracks in my stash, and I wanted to paint a factory fresh raw steel finish for the longest time. My last attempt at this type of finish was when I was a teenager, and the techniques and mediums changed a lot since then. What was carried mostly by dry pigments back in my day is now easily achievable with oils and acrylics. Back then, we struggled with unreliable hairsprays; now we have dedicated chipping fluids developed for peak performance.
It’s not a small model at all and those giant steel plates with little to no surface detail would’ve been quite tedioust o paint in an interesting way, but treating them one by one in this steel finish was definitely fun!
