USMC Shermans from the Pacific are so cool, some of them look straight out of a Mad Max movie. So it’s natural that I always wanted to build one. King Kong, which operated on Saipan in 1944, was one that stood out the most to me, but I didn’t have the courage to build it in the past because I lacked the necessary skills to paint the wooden armor. After I gained some knowledge with my old building facades where wood is a prominent material, and with my newfound confidence, I dove straight into this project.

The model is now a part of my “Monkey Business” diorama.
