This model comes from a small upcoming Slovak company called Weekend Models. As the name suggests, these models are supposed to be assembled in one weekend. And here’s the kicker – they’re fully 3D printed.
The company actually plans to sell physical prints to customers in order to enhance the user experience and also protect their intellectual property – the digital files which are very easy to pirate. They made an exception with me and provided me the files so I could print it on my own machine, saving their resources. As a bonus, they upscaled the model for me into 1/48th scale because their primary focus is 1/72.
Needless to say, this was a fun, relaxing project. I just went with the flow and this is how it turned out in the end. I’ll be definitely painting more models from them in the future!
