Conqueror
Back in the day, I was collecting Dragon Black Label kits. It was my guilty pleasure. They were models of obscure and lesser-known tanks, which was my jam! The kits were mostly horrible and overpriced, but that’s another story.
I never knew this tank existed before. But I got really invested in it. I bought a Tankograd book about its deployment in Western Germany. I bought Valkyrie resin figures and asked a colleague to paint them for me. I started building it, and never finished it.
Years later when I already had my channel up and running, I was rummaging through my stash and stumbled upon boxes with shelf queens. In the meantime, I found photographs of old Conqueror hulks that are being used as range targets, and sometimes they get towed from one place to another. One thing led to another, I caught COVID for the first time, and once I felt better, I finished the build in a few days and started painting.
The model is now a part of my “Dead Meat” diorama.
